We are a UAE consulting company seeking an experienced Indirect Tax professional to support GST advisory, compliance review, and client representation matters for Indian clients and India related assignments. The role requires strong technical command, practical problem solving, and the ability to manage client expectations in a consulting setup.
The candidate should be technically strong in GST, detail oriented, and confident in a client facing consulting environment. The role requires strong review discipline, clear articulation, and problem solving ability.
4 to 5 years of relevant experience in indirect tax with strong GST exposure in consulting firms, CA firms, or corporate tax teams.
What you'll do
- 1. Manage GST compliance review, advisory, reconciliations, and litigation support assignments.
- 2. Review GST returns, annual returns, input tax credit workings, and vendor reconciliations.
- 3. Advise clients on classification, place of supply, taxability, documentation, and process controls.
- 4. Support notices, departmental queries, assessments, and representation matters along with senior leadership.
- 5. Conduct diagnostic reviews and identify GST risks, leakage, and process gaps.
- 6. Coordinate with client finance teams for data collection, issue resolution, and closure of action points.
- 7. Prepare technical notes, opinions, and client presentations on GST matters.
- 8. Guide junior staff and maintain quality of deliverables and timelines.
What we're looking for
- Technical Skills:
- 1. Strong command over Indian GST law and compliance processes.
