Financial Reporting Specialist

We are a fast growing UAE consulting company hiring a Financial Reporting Specialist with strong IFRS capability and solid experience in consolidation. This role is for someone who can independently handle high quality reporting deliverables, group reporting packs, technical accounting issues, and complex financial statement preparation in a consulting environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with deadlines, detail heavy work, and technically demanding reporting assignments.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and applicable reporting requirements
• Handle consolidation workings including intercompany eliminations, group adjustments, minority interest, and related disclosures
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end reporting requirements including group reporting packs and board level summaries
• Analyse ledger data, reconciliations, disclosures, and reporting packs to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support technical accounting research, position papers, and treatment documentation under IFRS
• Coordinate with client finance teams, auditors, and internal stakeholders on reporting deliverables
• Build and improve reporting templates, close checklists, consolidation models, and review processes
• Identify reporting gaps, inconsistencies, and data quality issues and drive closure

💻 Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement disclosure requirements
• Good hands-on experience in consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and disclosure support
• Strong understanding of reporting packs, schedules, reconciliations, and close processes
• Ability to research and document technical accounting positions under IFRS
• Strong Excel skills and comfort handling reporting models and large datasets

• Exposure to UAE reporting environment or cross border reporting assignments
• Experience with ERP extracts, reporting packs, and group close processes
• Ability to standardize templates and improve reporting workflows
